About Reece Bester, CEO of Breakthrough Grants

From Nonprofit Founder to Grant Strategist

Reece Bester is a former nonprofit founder. Understanding firsthand the challenges of securing funding, Reece has developed a specialized approach that combines deep industry knowledge with actionable grant strategies, enabling our clients and students to realize their vision and achieve sustainable growth.

Currently based out of Newton, North Carolina, Reece ran a nonprofit in Southern Florida. Starting from nothing, Reece built multiple programs that were funded primarily by grants, including a flagship STEM education program that impacted over 700 children yearly in low-income neighborhoods.

Since the inception of Breakthrough Grants, Reece has collaborated with nonprofits across the United States ranging in budget from $15,000 to $15MM. Reece has successfully leveraged the assets of organizations large and small to best serve their communities.

All of this was and is done solely by the grace of God.

Failures as a Lesson

I started my nonprofit from nothing, just like you may have, or may do yourself. From there, I from failing over and over until (many years later) I was able to understand how to design programs and package them so that funders were interested in funding them.

Since I live in the greater Charlotte Metro area, I understand many of the subtle things that drive our nonprofit market. Probably better than someone who is offering a training that is flying in, and flying out. I’m right here with you and I want to help you serve our neighbors.

What is included with the training?

With each ticket, you get admission to one full-day training, the playbook (a workbook to help you learn and remember), free coffee and snacks, and a report with 5 grant funding prospects and how to approach them (delivered in less than one month after the training).

Do you offer scholarships?

Currently, yes. We have 2 seats available at a discount of $500. These scholarships are supported by Memory Trees Corporation.

It is worth noting that this training will deliver value inclusive of our funding prospect strategy ($1,500), an audit of your current funding situation and readiness for grants ($1,000) and a clarified offer to funders, donors, and corporations ($2,500).

Will this training make me successful with grants?

I can’t guarantee that you’ll get back out there and start winning, but the chances will be far higher. Some things to keep in mind are that preparation is success. Therefore, putting in the work now, and clarifying what you are offering to your community, and learning to work with those who will invest in your work, is the way to win. I will teach you everything I can about this process, which is the process I use to win. It takes practice, and some work, but it will pay off!
